Life Lately (January 2021)

1/19/21

Okay friends! I’m coming in hot with a giant life lately post. I’ve been sooo MIA in the blog-o’-sphere and there’s a lot of catching up to do!

Alright well, what’s been going on post New Years, you ask?

Well, Andrew’s birthday was on the 6th which was a Wednesday anddd we both agreeably worked that day but planned for a little day trip over the weekend.

So Saturday came rolling around and we decided on going to Steamboat Springs. We’ve been once before back in July 2019 to go see the hot air balloon festival which was SO freaking cool.

-THROWBACK-

Saturday was a gorgeous blue bird day and Steamboat is about a 2.5 hour drive from us and Vinny came for the ride too 🙂

Monday eventually rolled around and I had to jetsetgo to Orange County for work. I was a little apprehensive at first with traveling to California but with an essential travel letter in hand I safely made it to and from. Luckily the travel portion wasn’t bad, there was plenty of room and pretty easy to stay 6ft apart from the next person.

Made it to Newport and the following morning realized this was my view! I mean, c’mon! Right?! Such a pleasant surprise, I’m very thankful.

Took a nice walk to the beach after work.

Its the fresh air and sunset for me.

Grabbed some oysters and instantly fell into oyster heavennn.

The next morning took a few calls from the hotel

the rest of the day was busy and long day so I decided to stay in and order delivery…

And totally admired the sunset!!

And I obviously couldn’t leave without having In-N-Out at least once. I’m salivating just looking at this. Can you believe I haven’t gone to the ones in CO yet?!

And Thursday it was #homesweethome for this gal!

That weekend Andrew and I booked some time at the mineral spa again. We love that place so much, we just melt into the tubs and call it a day.

We also made a pit stop to one of our favorite spots.

Monday was MLK Day and both Andrew and I had the day off from work. We love a three-day weekend! Went on some hikes with Vin dog.

Tuesday… felt like Monday and it was back to the grind. But Friday followed pretty quickly and my bath and body works 3-wick candles got delivered.

FYI- I’ve had Sweet Rosemary Vanilla lit all weekend and I LOVE it.

Saturday, we knew we wanted to get outside! The funny thing is that we always forget that the weather can be drastically different from where we are (at the foothills of the Rockies) compared to being IN the mountains. Well, so the day started off super warm and sunny…

And the closer we got to Breckenridge it was looking like this-

Grey with major snow clouds. Still gorgeous though.

And like clockwork it started snowing. We made it to Frisco and decided to head back and instead stop in Georgetown since it was on the way back.

Found a little secluded spot on the frozen lake to let Vin run around, but it was actually more like slip and slide around. His little slippery paws on the ice was so stinking cute.

We stayed about 10 minutes before the snow started making its way to Georgetown too.

And that’s when I ended my weekend with…

A little hair transformation!!!

-BEFORE-

-AFTER-

The blue sheen on my glasses is the blue screen lenses I finally got on my prescription glasses!!! *Hallelujah* Whole post coming about my glasses and where I got them!

Andd voila! That’s been life lately. If you made it through I applaud you, it was long as heck but thank you as always for coming by ❤

How has your new year kicked off so far? What’s been the best part of your January?

xo, JJ
