Hey, Hi, Hello friends!
And with a blink of an eye we’re back to Monday! This past weekend Andrew and I had decided we wanted to go chase after some fall foliage and really get into the spirit of the seasons changing. Howeverrr, curveball- that’s not what I’m sharing today.
Instead we’re going to rewind to the weekend of Sept 12th (not that dates are even relevant) for one last summery adventure post. As you can see by the title, it’s yet another Breckenridge find. I know, *surprise surprise* we obviously love Breck and IT SHOWS!
At this point I’m sure most of y’all know that my sentiments towards this ski town weighs massively in my heart. It’s the place that wooed me out to Colorado in the first place, but in addition, it’s also the place where I became a fiance!
I’m certain I’ve showed this photo many of times but viola ~
Lake Dillion (actually a reservoir but commonly referred to as a lake) the spot where it all began.

It was this view that stole my heart.
So anywhooo, we found a sweet trailhead off of the AllTrails app that led us to another part of Lake Dillion so we obviously had to go check it out for ourselves.
Meadow Loop and Ridge Trail
Know Before You Go: It’s a very easy trail a little over 3 miles (if you cross through the meadow). Parking available too!
And here we go, let’s take a look!

It was a gorgeous day, but to make it that much better, there was snow on the mountain tops (Yup! It’s already snowed here).

There’s a ton of spots to veer off the path to get down to the water, which was exactly what we did. We hung out there for a while and left with happy hearts.
And some last shots of Lake Dillion as we headed into town for a late lunch.

If you have any questions about the trail or anything in regards to Breckenridge give me a shout 🙂

I can see why this place was chosen for the proposal. It is lovely and spacious, the kind of place that inspires you to think about the future and nice things. Really lovely. I hope you enjoy the coming of the new season!
