HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS!
Friday energy is the only thing giving me strength today. It’s been quite a week y’all and I’m tired as heck but I’m ohhh SO glad the weekend is upon us. In addition to the weekend falling onto our laps so has autumn, officially! I’m feeling it all around me here in Colorado- from the weather to the yellow and orange tones consuming the trees, it’s giving me all the feels. Refreshing. Unfortunately, the foliage comes and goes really quickly here, it starts early Sept and lasts till about maybe early Oct give or take..
Despite all the fuss and craziness from the pandemic seeping into the summer months, summer of 2020 was actually one of my favorites. Generally, Andrew and I would be filling these 3 months with (flying) traveling excursions and while we may not have jumped onto a plane this year, we were lucky enough that this state is a vacation in itself. We covered a lot of territory, crossed a bunch off of our CO bucket list and it’s been a juggernaut for our adventurous hearts. We’ve uncovered and discovered so much more than we’ve anticipated and accrued so much knowledge through our little excursions and explorations. The good thing is, we’ve done a lot of the “touristy” things at this point so now when we revisit a certain town or county, we can go a little deeper and find the nooks and crannies for the hidden gems. And boy oh boy, there’s an infinite amount of them to find all around.
My heart is completely filled to the gills with love for these mountains, nature, the hikes, the blue lakes, creeks, and windy dirt path roads leading us to the middle of nowhere. All of it. I love it all.
And with that said, below are some of my favorite captures from this summer brought to you by Colorado 🙂
Guys, I have to say (again…and again)… it really is the mountains for me! If you want to know where any of these photos were taken just give me a shout below and I’ll hook you up with all the details!!
What was the highlight of your summer? Did you go on any memorable trips? Are you excited for fall?
See you next year, summer!
xo, JJ

It looks like you had an amazing summer! I guess the pandemic means we look at places closer to home and explore there and as I always say, you live in a gorge area😊 x
