Good morning friends!!
Y’all the weather in Colorado is giving me ALLLL the autumn feels right now (as I take a sip of my pumpkin cream cold brew 😉 ). The mornings are refreshing, the days are warm and cozy, and the nights cool you right off. I’m loving it. And to my last Life Update post I’m seriously feeling so much better. We’re back to full blown blue skies and my mood and energy has gone up tremendously being able to wake up to a bright sky. The power of weather and moods, you know?!
Anyways, today I’m sharing a sweet little day trip from this past weekend.
Grand Lake & Lake Granby
THINGS TO DO: Boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing (basically all water activities).
Grand Lake is the largest and deepest natural lake in Colorado whereas Lake Granby is the 3rd largest lake in Colorado, both of which have the most gorgeous view of the mountains in the horizon. The two lakes are only about a 15 min drive from one another, so you can easily visit both within the same day.
The first time Andrew and I visited was back in January of this year and it was seriously stunning with the snowcapped mountains and iced over lake-

And now here are the lakes from this summer-

We went on a little walking trail around Grand Lake at a spot called Point Park. Great spot to park and wander around the lake and see the gorgeous lakeside homes.
From Grand Lake you’re mere minutes from entering Rocky Mountain National Park, which is known to be a gorgeous drive from that end of the park. We attempted to take that drive back home but with the pandemic still present, you need to purchase entry tickets in advance but now that we know, it’s totally on our bucket list!
And until next time, chao ❤
