Happy Monday friends!
I have to confess, spending all this time at home has actually been very relaxing. I can’t remember the last time I’ve felt this well rested, am I right? Slowing down has given me the opportunity to actually revive back into a well functioning human. I can’t even tell you how badly my body needed this. I was worn down, it was one thing after another since like November. For a period of time, I was exhausted and irritable but you just learn that you need to get shit done and so you get it done. So, my silver lining is that I’m rejuvenated, I feel lighter, happier, and more myself again. Find the good, stay positive, and keep those thoughts in the forefront of your mind.
This weekend Andrew and I went on a little drive. Colorado has been blessing us with beautiful spring weather. It’s warm, sun on full blast, blue skies, and the mountains are green and lush. We were originally considering driving out to Boulder but on our drive headed to Boulder, we drive through a town called Golden. Within Golden there’s a gorgeous scenic bypass to get to the quaint casino town called Black Hawk. It’s pretty close to us so we spontaneously changed our plans and took that drive instead.
The road follows Clear Water Creek the whole way, you’re driving through amazing rocky mountains and just below you can see the creek running alongside the road. There’s so many pull off areas where people will park and go hike, fish, rock climb, take photos, picnic, etc. The entire drive is so beautiful, you could spend all day somewhere on that road, its just a cool little drive and adventure in one.
Spending time outside is so easy in this state. There’s so many nooks and crannies, so many good finds. Enjoy nature y’all and happy Spring!
