colorado: royal gorge

I’ve been home for two weekends in a row and oh my lanta does it feel good. I’ve been traveling off and on for work since December and it’s been tiring as heck. I’m naturally a homebody and as much as I do love having the opportunity to travel, it’s tough and tiresome when it’s work related. Traveling for leisure is another story.

Things were ROUGH the past few months but I’m finally feeling better now than I did before. It helps that I’m local and have no plans for travel right now. It also helps that I got A LOT of my ‘life changes’ and pending errands settled and completed. I can finally breath and I’m slowly falling back into a nice routine. There’s still things I’m working on and trying to deploy/solve but it’s a work in progress. All I care about is that I truly do feel better. I’m back on that upward slope. 2020 so far has really tested me. I always think about life as a rollercoaster (cliche idec) but seriously, ups and downs are right around the corner you just never know. But I’m eager to see what’s to follow and all I care about right is is that I’m feeling optimistic again. It’s about time.

So, today is Saturday. And I swear I love Colorado because there’s so many adventures to be had. I truly don’t know that you could ever exhaust the amount of fascinating places to see in Colorado. For that reason alone, I’m so extraordinarily happy that I made the move here.

Today Andrew and I visited the Royal Gorge in Canon City. A really neat place but eerie with how high you are meshed with how close you can get to the edge. Check out the view-

Things to know: There is a general admissions cost to get into the park. But it’s more than just a view enjoy (although I was happy with just the view) but enjoy their zip line and sky coaster. I didn’t do either, it’s a tad too much adrenaline for my liking. Y’all my heart sank just walking across the bridge but that’s a MUST DO.

Enjoy life and be well!

xo, JJ
